Gaming connects: We organise an unforgettable games day for the whole team!

As part of our SLA Trainee Stammtisch we were given a really cool task at the beginning of the year: to plan an event for an entire afternoon. We were given complete freedom and quickly came up with the idea of organizing a gaming day where all colleagues could compete against each other in various video games and win great prizes.

We were responsible for the entire organisation of the project: From internal communication and catering to setting up all the game stations, the responsibility lay entirely with us. From Super Smash Bros to Wii Sports, there was something for everyone. There were also competition stations where people played for the prizes and cosy corners for relaxing your hands and feet in between.

The event was a real highlight for everyone, as it had never happened before. It showed once again how much fun we have together here and that we can break away from our daily work together.

Marvin, our trainee project manager at this event, says: ‘I particularly liked the fact that we trainees tackled the tasks independently. Nevertheless, we never had the feeling that we were being left alone - we could always rely on each other for support.’ Everyone had a great day and a lot of fun, regardless of how much experience they had with video games. The event was an unforgettable experience that further strengthened our team spirit. Because at SLA, shared experiences outside of work are very important.
